When I was 23 I was living back home, yet again, because of another boyfriend breakup; spending my days as a checker at Lucky grocery stores, and driving an '84 Camaro with the license plate BYOFCR (by officer). I was not on a path toward success.

During that time, my friend Saundra and her mom Sharon introduced me to the world of Amway and even though that never panned out financially, it did begin to turn my life toward a more positive direction. One of the core principles that Amway taught was to read self-help books and one of the first books I read from their list was Psycho-Cybernetics. The premise of the book is that if you visualize your life as you want it, you can manifest it into reality. I began visualizing diligently and I have countless and astounding stories that shaped my life because of the words in that book. (I'm happy to share when I see you in person.)

I'm sharing all of this because I've gotten away from the books over the years and I think it's time for me to take a few refresher courses. Mike and I have some really big, bodacious goals still and even though I've been practicing my visualization and posting on Pinterest profusely, I feel like I've gotten as far as I can with what I know. I need help. I need to learn more.

So we created our own little Clouse University curriculum plan!

Mike and I started with the goal to read 6 books through this fall and winter. Books on thinking bigger, being happier and books that give an overall boost in life. We'll read each book, take notes on areas that resonated with us and share our thoughts and ideas at the end of each book. A little 2 person book club!

Want to join along?

This month's book is:
Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life
B. Tracy

Please let me know if you begin reading the book, and I'll happily add you to our "book club"! I'd love to hear what resonated with you and how the book impacted the way you think.

And remember that if your bedside book pile is already tall & teetering, consider the audio version or signing up with Audible. There are so many ways to soak up good stuff!
